Initial Sampling Using PPAP Software

With EMP.Net, you can create initial samples from a range of standardized requirements and formats. These include, in particular, the procedures listed in regulations such as IATF 16949, QS 9000, and DIN EN 9102, such as PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), FAI (First Article Inspection), and documents such as the PSW (Part Submission Warrant). The software helps you to standardize the required sampling process and the resulting interaction between suppliers and customers.

The sampling procedures regulate various aspects, from design documentation and the analysis of measuring systems to the communication of information regarding the final part submission confirmation. In the actual initial sampling, you can then use the PPAP Software to analyze a coordinated production quantity of consecutive parts that are manufactured under series conditions. All this information can then be used to create the standard-compliant initial sample inspection report (ISIR) at the touch of a button.

Does the PPAP software support all standards and templates?

Yes. The software supports AIAG PPAP specifications, VDA requirements, IATF 16949, DIN EN 9102, and QS 9000. Corresponding sampling types with defined template levels and reports are already integrated and can be customized individually – even for customer- or country-specific approval formats.

Can I connect the software to existing systems?

Yes, in addition to linking to other CAQ modules, the PPAP Software enables direct data exchange through CAD integration for automated stamping of drawing features. You can also connect measuring machines, inspection machines, and laboratory equipment, as well as standard interfaces and multidimensional measuring equipment for automatic inspection data acquisition.

How can I use PPAP software to facilitate collaboration with suppliers?

Support for export to ZF and the SupplyOn portal is integrated via the QDX format, facilitating collaboration with suppliers and customers. Furthermore, it is possible to allow suppliers to perform initial sample inspections digitally via a web application, thus avoiding media disruptions.
