E-Learnings with SCORM

SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model) is a standard for e-learning courses. These packages can contain various learning elements such as videos, images, and assessments. We can import such SCORM packages and provide the corresponding e-learning courses within Qualify.Net.

Why SCORM for E-learning?

An Example: A data protection training course is due. Previously, the online training was conducted using a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation, and the assessment of learning outcomes was carried out separately afterward. The company has now acquired a ready-to-use SCORM course. This course combines training content, explanatory videos, illustrative graphics, and a final assessment within a single e-learning module. Participants are guided through the content step by step, while the system automatically records learning progress and test results. This creates transparent and verifiable training records, which are particularly beneficial for compliance and audit requirements.

What This Means for CAQ.Net

With the current release 26.1.20.1, it is now possible to store SCORM packages in our Training Management Software Qualify.Net and provide them as e-learning courses via WebCAQ.Net:

• Using the "SCORM File" field, the ZIP file of the desired course can be selected. Once the package has been created and released, it becomes available for selection in the Assessment section of a training course.
• A time limit and the maximum number of assessment attempts can be defined.
• Based on the participants completion result, the course is automatically documented within the corresponding training record as passed or failed.
